- Your Passport should be valid for a period of 3 months, after your period of stay in the country.
- Completed application form for Student Visa in New Zealand
- Fee receipt of Visa Application
- Admission offer letter from a university or institution in New Zealand with details of minimum course duration, the tuition fee applicable and so on. The course must be approved by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority.
- Offer of Place by New Zealand Qualification Authority-approved education provider.
- Proof of adequate funds to travel back to your home country.
- Two Passport-size photographs
- Tuition fees payment receipt.
- Academic qualifications – degrees, diplomas or certificates.
You may need to produce further documents as proof of your eligibility to travel to and study in New Zealand.
Some of these documents may include:
- Bank Statements.
- If applicable, certificates for scholarship programs.
- An assurance from the sponsor stating that they will take care of accommodation and living costs while residing in New Zealand.
- Health Insurance

You must visit the official website of New Zealand Immigration and apply for the relevant visa if you want to apply for a Fee-Paying Student Visa. The processes and fees specified by the website must be strictly followed by each candidate.
Steps to be followed to apply for a New Zealand Student Visa: Collect your documents together: Every document related to identity and proof of study in New Zealand must be submitted. Before applying for a Student Visa keep all the documents close at hand.
New Zealand Student Visa Application Form should be submitted: The necessary documents should be uploaded, and relevant fees paid, followed by submitting your completed NZ Student Visa Application Form.
Wait for the response: NZ Immigration office will keep in touch with you, so you should wait for any information from their office and follow directions.
Note: On successful application, you will need to appear to the relevant center and appear for the Student Visa interview, which you should clear.
New Zealand Student Visa Fees
The students will be required to pay certain fees for their Visa applications to be considered while applying for the New Zealand student visa. Applicants are required to pay the application costs and the Passport fee for New Zealand Student Visa.
Application Costs: You should pay the application fee for the Immigration authorities to process your application. Even if the application has been declined, this fee is non-refundable.
Passport Fee: The Visa Application Center charges this fee for handling your passport. After applying for Visa, applicants will be required to send in their Passport, which will be received and handled by the Visa Application Center (VAC).
Application Costs: NZ$ 330
Passport Fee: INR 747
Note: The fees are subject to change as per the requirements of the Immigration Office.
