Express Entry and PNP inventories:
Canada’s inventories for Express Entry were 39,589. For skilled workers in Canada or abroad, express entry offers a pathway to permanent residency.

Canada’s family class inventory:
The inventory for all family class immigration programs in Canada reached 128,112 as of 3 November. With 61,118 inventories, the Spouses and Partners program has one of the highest inventories out of all business lines.
The government had made available a new data protection law draft, and the IRCC is moving to expedite the application process after acknowledging the backlog. By the end of March 2023, it intends to have a backlog across all business lines of less than 50%.
In order to reduce immigration backlogs, IRCC started the move to 100% digital applications for the majority of permanent residence programs on September 23.
To enhance processing capacity, IRCC has also committed $85 million toward employing 1,250 new employees by the end of the fall.
