OET now available for Non-EU applicants in Ireland

NMBI accepts OET scores for Non-EU applicant's English language competence, simplifying the application process. Occupational English Language Test now recognized as evidence by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.

OET now available for Non-EU applicants in Ireland

The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) has announced that as part of the application process for Non-EU applicants, they will accept Occupational English Language (OET) scores as evidence of English language competence. Currently the NMBI accepts the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) and from 2nd January 2018 onwards, they will also be accepting the Occupational English Language Test (OET) as an alternative to the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

NMBI will accept the following scores on the OET from 2 January 2018 as part of the application process for Non-EU applicants ONLY:

At least a Grade C+ in Listening and Reading
At least a Grade B in Writing and Speaking
